ABOUT CORSODYL SPRAY

Corsodyl Spray features a handy pump action nozzle for anyone who has difficulty rinsing with a mouthwash. Available in mint flavour, it is an intensive treatment to treat and prevent gum disease, such as red, swollen or bleeding gums.

Its antimicrobial formulation is clinically proven to treat the first stage of gum disease, gingivitis, and is designed as a short term treatment, to be used alongside a good daily oral care routine.

It's important to act fast to prevent symptoms of gingivitis, like bleeding, red or swollen gums, from eventually developing into the irreversible second stage of gum disease, periodontitis, which can, ultimately, cause tooth loss.

Because of its spray action it is especially effective for anyone needing to target specific areas of the mouth or who prefer not to use mouthwash. It can also be used to help gums to heal following dental surgery.

Corsodyl Spray

How does Corsodyl Spray work?

You apply Corsodyl Spray by spraying directly onto the teeth and gums or onto other sore areas of the mouth. This allows for targeted delivery to places that might otherwise be difficult to reach.

The mouth spray contains 0.2% chlorhexidine digluconate, an active antimicrobial ingredient. As you apply the spray, the active ingredient, chlorhexidine digluconate acts fast to kill the bacteria that cause plaque within 30 seconds. It also forms a protective antibacterial layer over the teeth and gums to prevent plaque build up for up to 12 hours, supporting the healing of your gums.

The first thing to do if you are experiencing any of the symptoms of gum disease is speak to your dentist who can diagnose gum problems and offer advice on treating and preventing gum disease.

Cautions

Use as directed on the product label.

Corsodyl Spray may cause temporary discolouration of the teeth or tongue. This can be removed by twice daily brushing with toothpaste or by your dentist or hygienist. You can reduce the risk of staining by avoiding drinking tea, coffee or red wine, especially up to one hour after use.

Children under 12 years of age should not use the product unless recommended by a dentist.
