HOW TO USE CORSODYL TREATMENT RANGE AFTER DENTAL SURGERY

The success of any surgical treatment relies in part on reducing the amount of bacteria in your mouth, particularly around the wound or where gums have become damaged. This is why your dentist may recommend that you use products from the Corsodyl Treatment range after gum surgery to help your gums to heal.

HOW CORSODYL MEDICATED PRODUCTS HELPS YOUR GUMS HEAL

There are some Corsodyl Treatment Products that are indicated for use after dental surgery as they contain Chlorhexidine Digluconate which both kills bacteria and forms a protective antibacterial layer over the teeth and gums to prevent further plaque build up. Because of its antibacterial action these products can help promote gum healing after surgery: Corsodyl Mint 0.2% w/v Mouthwash and Corsodyl 1% w/w Dental Gel.

It is particularly helpful in the week after surgery when the wound is sore and you need to avoid disturbing stitches. Rinsing twice a day with Corsodyl 0.2% w/v Mouthwash helps to keep your mouth clean while your gums heal.

If you want to minimise bacteria in a certain area, you can choose to use Corsodyl 1% w/w Dental Gel as this can be applied directly to deliver a more concentrated treatment to the affected area.
